It is with great sadness that we share the obituary of our FOA VP Bob Moss, who passed away over the weekend.
We are very grateful for Bob's service on the board of the Friends, as well as his tenure as our vice president. As a volunteer-led organization, the Friends relies particularly on the service of our board members and officers to forward the good works of the group. He always had interesting stories to share, particularly about his career. He was particularly enthusiastic to see some of our treasures when he toured the Archives a few years ago. As one former president of the Friends noted upon hearing of Bob's passing, "Bob exemplified the character and qualities of a gentleman in every sense of the word." Indeed, he was generous with his time and easy to work with.
